Tina Newman

Tina Newman testified as Disney’s corporate designee about records concerning Johnny Depp’s relationship with the company. She said the Disney documents she reviewed did not reference Amber Heard’s December 2018 op-ed, and that she had not discussed whether it affected that relationship. Disney emails tracking negative press coverage of Depp were introduced as exhibits, including one concerning a Rolling Stone article Newman had described as depressing. She said casting decisions for a sixth Pirates of the Caribbean film were outside her authority.
