Kristina Sexton worked as Heard’s acting coach from 2009 to 2017. In a video deposition played at trial, she said that during the final year of Heard’s relationship with Johnny Depp, 80 to 90 percent of their coaching sessions began with Heard in tears. Sexton described derogatory comments about Heard’s acting roles that she attributed to Depp. She also described finding a damaged trailer after a Hicksville trip and hearing Depp apologize using the word “monster.”

On cross-examination, Sexton said she had not seen Depp hit or kick Heard or throw anything at her, though she described seeing him advance toward Heard before a bodyguard intervened.
