About

Whitney Henriquez testified about changes she observed in her sister during Heard’s relationship with Johnny Depp, including clothing and social choices she attributed to Depp’s influence. She also described his substance use. Henriquez said that during a staircase confrontation, Depp struck her from behind, then grabbed Heard by the hair and hit her. Depp gave a different account, testifying that Heard punched him past Henriquez. Henriquez said she later found a nondisclosure agreement on her kitchen table and did not sign it.

On cross-examination, Henriquez said her back was turned when Depp made contact, so she did not know what he had been aiming for. She said the staircase confrontation was the only occasion on which she directly witnessed physical violence. Questioned about her ties to the parties, she acknowledged using cocaine with Depp and sending a text joking about him hitting Heard.
