Eastern Columbia Building penthouse
Also: ECB, the penthouse, downtown LA penthouse
Intro
The Eastern Columbia Building in downtown Los Angeles housed the cluster of rooftop penthouses — numbered 1, 3, and 5 — that Depp owned during the marriage and that his inner circle occupied alongside him. Isaac Baruch, a painter Depp supported as a patron, lived next door for three and a half years. Heard's close friends Raquel Pennington and Josh Drew lived in penthouse 5. The building's rooftop floor plan was admitted to the jury as Plaintiff's Exhibit 116. No other single place in the case generated as much disputed testimony. On the night of May 21, 2016 — the last time Depp and Heard were in a room together — Baruch found broken glass and a pool of wine outside penthouse 1, and Josh Drew answered the door saying only "Rough day." Heard told Baruch the next morning that Depp had "got violent" and that she was changing the locks on 1, 3, and 215. When Baruch looked at her face at conversational distance that day — and on May 23, 24, and 25 — he testified he saw no cuts, bruises, or redness. The ECB's 24/7 surveillance system produced the clips that were admitted as Plaintiff's Exhibits 3 through 21.
Key Moments (74)
Depp offers Baruch full art patronship in lieu of buying paintings — studio penthouse, living expenses, and gallery show proceeds to go entirely to Baruch.
Day 2 · Direct of Isaac Baruch
Plaintiff's Exhibit 116, the rooftop penthouse floor plan of the Eastern Columbia Building, admitted without objection and published to the jury.
Day 2 · Direct of Isaac Baruch
On the evening of May 21, Baruch discovers broken glass and a large puddle of spilled wine outside penthouse 1; Josh Drew emerges from the door and says only 'Rough day.'
Day 2 · Direct of Isaac Baruch
Sidebar: Bredehoft previews objection to security video testimony; court rules Baruch may testify to video contents but not to hearsay communications from ECB staff.
Day 2 · Direct of Isaac Baruch
Baruch denies ever witnessing Depp be physically violent toward Heard across 3.5 years of living next door at the Eastern Columbia Building.
Day 2 · Direct of Isaac Baruch
Baruch recounts Heard telling him on May 22: "Johnny came by last night and got violent, so I'm changing the locks on penthouse 1, 3, and 5."
Day 2 · Cross of Isaac Baruch
Bredehoft establishes Baruch lived rent-free in Depp's penthouses for years, now lives rent-free at Sweetzer, received a $100K gift he never repaid, and expressed open hostility toward Heard, framing him as a partial witness.
Day 2 · Cross of Isaac Baruch
Patterson establishes his role as ECB general manager and corporate designee for Action Property Management, explains the 24/7 recording system, and describes the approximately 20-day DVR overwrite cycle that eliminated footage not specifically preserved.
Day 2 · Direct of Brandon Patterson
Stemland introduces Exhibits 3 through 12 — ECB surveillance clips showing Depp in the mezzanine vestibule and elevators — eliciting Patterson's description of Depp's behavior as 'animated' and confirming timestamp accuracy within a few seconds.
Day 2 · Direct of Brandon Patterson
Systematic authentication of Exhibits 13 through 50, identifying Amber Heard, Raquel Pennington, Whitney Henriquez, and police officers in lobby, elevator, and service-corridor footage; includes penthouse layout floor plans (Exhibits 49–50).
Day 2 · Direct of Brandon Patterson
Vasquez authenticates Exhibits 3–21 clip by clip. Patterson identifies each camera (penthouse elevator, lobby, mezzanine, parking garage) and confirms dates of May 21–25, 2016 and the 20–30-day preservation window.
Day 2 · Cross of Brandon Patterson
Bett accounts for April 21, 2016: accompanied Depp from an accountant meeting to the penthouse birthday dinner, arriving around 9–10 p.m. Heard greeted the late-arriving Depp warmly with a hug and kiss, calling him 'sugar.'
Day 4 · Direct of Sean Bett
Bett details May 21, 2016: he and Jerry Judge accompanied Depp to the penthouse, heard Heard screaming profanities, entered to find her with hands raised shouting 'This is the last time you do this to me.' Bett states he had a clear view of Heard's face — no redness, swelling, or injuries. Depp showed no violence and the group exited.
Day 4 · Direct of Sean Bett
Bett walks through the May 21, 2016 penthouse visit: Depp had wine en route and likely before pickup; Bett was only 15–20 feet from Heard for 30–60 seconds; he has no personal knowledge of what happened in penthouse 3 while outside, including whether a phone was thrown.
Day 5 · Cross of Sean Bett
Surveillance video (Exhibits 672 and 666) shown to the jury: Bett, Depp, and Judge entered the Eastern Columbia Building at 7:02 p.m. and exited at 8:29 p.m. — approximately 87 minutes, versus Bett's estimate of 30–40 minutes.
Day 5 · Cross of Sean Bett
Vasquez and Bett work through penthouse numbering confusion; Bett confirms Pennington was last seen standing next to Heard in penthouse 3 when he and Depp entered penthouse 5.
Day 5 · Redirect of Sean Bett
Bett acknowledges Depp had wine in the car on May 21 but testifies Depp did not appear intoxicated before arriving at the Eastern Columbia Building.
Day 5 · Redirect of Sean Bett
Depp identifies a photograph (previously admitted) as being from the staircase incident. He testifies that Heard punched him in the cheekbone on the landing of penthouse 5, reaching around sister Whitney Henriquez who had stepped between them to stop the confrontation.
Day 6 · Direct of Johnny Depp
Depp describes the May 21, 2016 penthouse visit: confronting Heard over feces on the bed (which Heard blamed on the dogs), tossing a phone onto the couch, and then hearing Heard shout stop hitting me while he stood approximately 20 feet away by the refrigerator as Jerry Judge and Sean Bett entered the room.
Day 6 · Direct of Johnny Depp
Detailed description of the damage scene: blood on floors, walls, and staircase from main level to third floor; a damaged sofa; broken lamps; and writings on master bathroom mirrors in oil paint and lipstick, one reading 'Starring Billy Bob.' King identified photos of the lampshade (Exhibit 377) and mirrors (Exhibits 374, 375) he likely photographed.
Day 8 · Cross of Ben King
King uses a dot-marking tool on the floor plan to geolocate damage across the main level (TV, mirrors, kitchen) and the lower ground floor (fingertip at bar end, Stolichnaya bottle, broken glass, blood drips on tile, plaster and bar counter damage, staircase chip).
Day 8 · Redirect of Ben King
Saenz concedes her earlier estimate of 30–60 minutes at the penthouse was wrong; elevator video establishes she and Hadden were on the floor for only 15 minutes (9:04–9:19 p.m.).
Day 9 · Direct of Melissa Saenz
Saenz describes her arrival on the penthouse floor: she checked the hallways, observed a woman calmly working out in the gym, and found nothing out of the ordinary before knocking on any door.
Day 9 · Cross of Melissa Saenz
Presiado walks through each stage of the protective sweeps of both penthouses; Saenz confirms she saw no disarray, no evidence of crime, and no signs of domestic violence in either unit.
Day 9 · Cross of Melissa Saenz
Hadden states he and Saenz conducted a protective sweep of the penthouse but does not recall Josh Drew guiding them or seeing property damage. He confirms no notes, photographs, or recordings were made beyond the business card.
Day 10 · Direct of Tyler Hadden
Protective sweep of the penthouse found no broken glass, no spilled wine, and no signs of property damage or disturbance of any kind.
Day 10 · Cross of Tyler Hadden
Body cam footage from Defendant's Exhibits 2–5 (Gatlin's and Diener's cameras) is played. The footage shows the officers arriving at penthouse 3, Josh Drew discouraging their entry, and a brief exchange in which the women in the apartment — including the person identified as Amber Heard in the back — told officers everything was fine and Depp had left two hours earlier. Gatlin confirms dim lighting obscured his view of Heard.
Day 10 · Direct of William Gatlin
Romero is introduced and describes her role: 13 years at ECB doing access control and managing deliveries for roughly 150+ units. Establishes the high daily foot traffic.
Day 10 · Direct of Alejandra Romero
Romero confirms she saw no injuries on Heard during the elevator ride and penthouse walkthrough with Heard and Pennington later that same day.
Day 10 · Cross of Alejandra Romero
Romero reaffirms good lighting and close proximity at the front desk; in the penthouse she was standing directly next to Heard.
Day 10 · Cross of Alejandra Romero
Wasser testifies that her firm subpoenaed ECB building lobby and elevator video records during the divorce proceedings, and that communications with ECB staff were related to those subpoenas and the production and review of videos.
Day 10 · Direct of Laura Wasser
Two projectile incidents described: a plastic bottle bouncing off Depp's chest on a private plane, and a soda can launched from the mezzanine at the Eastern Columbia Building, smashing into Depp's large mechanical-arm TV while Depp was roughly ten feet away.
Day 11 · Direct of Malcolm Connolly
Jenkins testified he was on security detail at the April 21, 2016 birthday party at the Eastern Columbia Building penthouse; the only issue was that Depp did not show. Jenkins left around 3:15 p.m.
Day 11 · Direct of Starling Jenkins III
Rottenborn systematically establishes Jenkins was not present at any of the key disputed locations or incidents: Orange Avenue March 2013, Hicksville Trailer Palace June 2013, Boston-to-LA flight May 2014, Bahamas August 2014, Tokyo January 2015, Australia March 2015, Thanksgiving at Penthouse 5 November 2015, Bahamas December 2015, ECB December 15 2015, or the penthouse on May 21 2016. Jenkins concedes he has no personal knowledge of what went on between Depp and Heard behind closed doors.
Day 11 · Cross of Starling Jenkins III
McGivern recounts arriving at penthouse 5 around 4 a.m. on March 23, 2015 with nurse Debbie Lloyd. He describes Heard throwing a Red Bull can that struck Depp in the back, throwing a second object knocked away by McGivern, and spitting at Depp. Whitney Henriquez was also present.
Day 12 · Direct of Travis McGivern
McGivern steps between Depp and Heard to force an exit; as he does, he sees and feels a closed fist pass over his shoulder and strike Depp on the left side of the face. He identifies the fist as Heard's, then immediately moves Depp out of the penthouse.
Day 12 · Direct of Travis McGivern
Rottenborn confronts McGivern with his written UK trial witness statement, paragraph 5, which states that when McGivern and Lloyd entered the penthouse, Depp and Heard were already having a verbal argument—contradicting his direct testimony that he encountered Heard in the lobby before going upstairs.
Day 12 · Cross of Travis McGivern
McGivern confirms that Depp—who could have left the penthouse at any time—instead traveled up two levels to throw down Heard's clothing racks before returning to the mezzanine.
Day 12 · Cross of Travis McGivern
Rottenborn systematically establishes that McGivern was not present at the Boston-to-LA flight (May 2014), Hicksville Trailer Palace (2013), the Bahamas (August 2014 and December 2015), Tokyo (January 2015), the Eastern Columbia Building on December 15, 2015, or the May 21, 2016 penthouse incident.
Day 12 · Cross of Travis McGivern
Falati estimates she was inside the penthouse for approximately an hour or two on December 17, 2015, though she does not specifically recall the duration.
Day 13 · Redirect of Erin Falati
Heard recounts multiple March 2013 fights — a night-long argument over a painting, cocaine-and-alcohol fueled accusations, and a backhand strike at the Eastern Columbia Building. Defendant's Exhibit 170A (bruise photo sent to her mother on 3/23/2013) is admitted and published to the jury; cocaine-table photo 167A is similarly admitted.
Day 14 · Direct of Amber Heard
Core May 21, 2016 penthouse narrative — iO speakerphone call, Depp throwing phone at her face, Raquel's horse-like intervention, security extraction.
Day 16 · Direct of Amber Heard
Admission of 20+ photos (Defendant's 706-726) of Heard's face and penthouse damage, each identified as having been shown to Officers Saenz and Hadden in their depositions.
Day 16 · Direct of Amber Heard
Plaintiff's 304 video (~11:00 p.m., May 22, 2016) shows Heard bringing James Franco up to the Eastern Columbia penthouses the day after the alleged assault; Vasquez uses it to undercut the fear narrative and the locks-change rationale for the DVRO.
Day 17 · Cross of Amber Heard
Wright recounts moving into Depp's Eastern Columbia Building property in August 2013, becoming very close with both Depp and Heard, and departing June 1, 2014, because he wanted to support himself independently.
Day 17 · Direct of iO Tillett Wright
Bredehoft introduces Exhibits 3, 6, 7, 8, and 9 — photos of cuts, scalp injuries, a swollen lip, and a clump of hair — which Wright identifies as consistent with injuries he observed on Heard on December 16, 2015 at penthouse 3.
Day 17 · Cross of iO Tillett Wright
Pennington gives a detailed first-person account of the May 21, 2016 incident: arriving to find the penthouse door locked, forcing entry with her master key, placing her hands on Depp's chest to stop him, then laying her body over Heard on the couch while Depp stood over them yelling. She states she considered using a large ceramic ashtray to strike Depp if he advanced further.
Day 18 · Cross of Raquel Pennington
Rottenborn puts the Depp team's 'staged crime scene' allegation directly to Pennington, who flatly denies it and states she was not in penthouse 3 before Depp arrived.
Day 18 · Cross of Raquel Pennington
Drew describes living arrangements at the Eastern Columbia Building: he and Pennington lived rent-free in Depp-owned PH1, with key access to PH3 and PH5. He characterizes Depp as exceedingly generous.
Day 18 · Direct of Josh Drew
March 2015 staircase incident: Whitney wakes to Amber saying Depp is cheating. She goes to PH5 and finds him drunk with nurse Debbie Lloyd and bodyguard Travis McGivern. After escalating shouting, Depp strikes Whitney in the back from behind, then grabs Amber by the hair and hits her repeatedly in the face until Travis intervenes. Whitney hears Depp screaming and destroying Amber's closet afterward.
Day 18 · Direct of Whitney Henriquez
After the staircase incident, Whitney found a nondisclosure agreement on her kitchen table. She declined to sign it, was subsequently accused by Depp of selling stories to the press, and moved out.
Day 18 · Direct of Whitney Henriquez
Lecaroz establishes Whitney's financial dependence on Depp — she paid no rent, bills, or trip costs while living in the ECB penthouses — and her deep loyalty to Heard, laying the foundation for a bias argument.
Day 18 · Cross of Whitney Henriquez
Staircase incident testimony is narrowed: Whitney was unsure whether the contact was intentional (her back was to Depp), she sustained no injury, sought no medical attention, and took photos of the penthouse damage for a handyman rather than documenting any injuries to Heard.
Day 18 · Cross of Whitney Henriquez
Whitney confirms that the staircase incident was the only occasion on which she directly witnessed Depp strike Heard; she never witnessed any other incident that produced the injuries she claims to have seen over the course of the relationship.
Day 18 · Cross of Whitney Henriquez
Whitney acknowledges she witnessed Heard land a blow on Depp during the staircase incident, contextualizing it as occurring after Depp had already struck her.
Day 18 · Cross of Whitney Henriquez
Vasquez establishes Marz's limited relationship with Heard — fewer than four meetings between 2012 and 2015 — and her approximately two-week stay at the Eastern Columbia Building in February 2016, during which she witnessed no abuse.
Day 18 · Direct of Elizabeth Marz
Marz places herself in penthouse 5 on May 21 with Pennington present. She describes hearing commotion that seemed to grow closer before the door was abruptly opened.
Day 18 · Direct of Elizabeth Marz
After hiding and exchanging texts with Pennington, Marz reunites in penthouse 1. She describes seeing Heard upset, disheveled, and with a red, swollen face on the right side around the eye — no bruising yet. Marz recalls Pennington photographing Heard's face and Heard icing it before police arrived.
Day 18 · Direct of Elizabeth Marz
Vasquez lists specific items allegedly destroyed in penthouse 3 — candelabra sticks, food, kitchen utensils, a lamp. Marz says the apartment was largely cleaned up before she entered and she does not remember seeing those items on the floor, though the mention of broken statues feels vaguely familiar.
Day 18 · Direct of Elizabeth Marz
Bredehoft introduces Exhibit 7 — a photograph of writing on the penthouse kitchen wall — which Inglessis identifies from her visit around December 15, 2015.
Day 18 · Direct of Melanie Inglessis
Inglessis identifies Exhibit 9 depicting a damaged bed and confirms she saw it upstairs during her penthouse visit, with additional property damage observed downstairs.
Day 18 · Direct of Melanie Inglessis
Inglessis observes Heard's ability to perform on-air despite her distressed private state, and recounts finding Heard crying on stylist Samantha McMillan's shoulder when she arrived at the penthouse.
Day 18 · Direct of Melanie Inglessis
Inglessis admits she could not independently confirm her penthouse visit occurred on December 15, 2015 specifically — she was uncertain whether it was the day before the December 16 incident or the day before the May 2016 incident, undermining the precision of her timeline.
Day 18 · Cross of Melanie Inglessis
Kaplan asks whether Depp ever commented on his ability to pass an insurance test. Sexton recounts a private evening at the Orange penthouse where Depp joked that insurance tests were easy to fake and explicitly advised faking a urine sample.
Day 18 · Redirect of Kristina Sexton
Witkin recounts being called to Depp's downtown penthouse around 3am after an assistant named Stephen contacted him urgently. He arrived to find an unsettled atmosphere — people moving in and out, an edge in the house — but did not personally witness any violence.
Day 19 · Direct of Bruce Witkin
Waldman confirms he made two sets of statements to the Daily Mail (Exhibits 4 and 5, July 3 2020): calling Heard's allegations a 'sword and shield' of 'fake sexual violence,' and calling the May 2016 penthouse incident 'an ambush, a hoax' staged with a second 911 call.
Day 19 · Direct of Adam Waldman
Bredehoft displays the incident call record from the May 2016 penthouse response—reading 'victim advised verbal dispute and refused to give any further information, issued business card.' Sadanaga confirms 'verbal dispute' was language officers commonly used to document when no report was taken.
Day 19 · Direct of Marie Sadanaga
Judge rules Kate Moss may testify as proper rebuttal: Heard's staircase testimony implied Moss was pushed by Depp, creating a negative inference the jury is entitled to have rebutted.
Day 21 · Colloquy
Rottenborn asks to limit Kate Moss's scope to the staircase incident, based on Heard's own testimony invoking the 'Kate Moss on the stairs' image. Chew argues broader violence testimony is warranted given Ellen Barkin's admission. Judge limits Moss strictly to the stairs: she may establish how she knows Depp but may not be asked whether he was ever violent.
Day 22 · Colloquy
Depp describes Heard's treatment of her sister Whitney as a pattern of verbal abuse, physical pushing, and demeaning behavior. He testifies Whitney lived in penthouse 4 for over a year at his invitation and that Heard told Whitney to leave following an argument over Whitney's work with Jennifer Howell at Art of Elysium.
Day 22 · Direct of Johnny Depp
Kate Moss staircase testimony permitted; judge notes Heard characterized it as a rumor and Moss testified Depp did not push her down the stairs.
Day 23 · Colloquy
Vasquez places Defendant's Exhibits 512 and 725 side by side — photographs of a penthouse floor — and demonstrates through Heard's own prior trial testimony that she attributed the same image to penthouse damage from December 15, 2015, on day 16, and to spilled wine on May 21, 2016, on day 17. Heard argues she cannot identify a partial floor photo without the redacted metadata.
Day 23 · Cross of Amber Heard
Vasquez closes with a rhetorical series of 'you didn't expect' challenges — Kate Moss testifying the staircase push never happened, Morgan Night contradicting the Hicksville account, Morgan Tremaine appearing on the TMZ courthouse tip-off, Ben King's fingertip testimony, and Isaac Baruch weeping. Heard responds that she expected many witnesses to come forward in Depp's favor and frames the op-ed as a response to his power over people.
Day 23 · Cross of Amber Heard
Chew objects to Bredehoft's assertion that Waldman 'planted' statements with ECB witnesses; judge directs her to clarify the claim is her argument, not an admission by the witnesses.
Day 24 · Closing_argument_counterclaim
Quotes From The Record (21)
“Johnny came by last night and got violent, so I'm changing the locks on penthouse 1, 3, and 5. Don't worry about your place.”
— Isaac Baruch
Baruch's own account of what Heard told him on May 22, recounted under cross to establish Heard's contemporaneous statement about the previous night's events.
“These seem very grainy and slow to me from what I remember. But these are taken from Eastern Columbia video cameras during this time.”
— Brandon Patterson
Patterson simultaneously authenticates the footage and concedes its quality limitations — relevant to disputes about what details the videos can establish.
“Yeah. I think he's still animated, but with the audio, I would say upset about something.”
— Brandon Patterson
Patterson's revised characterization of Depp's demeanor — once audio was available — is the most substantive observation he offers about Depp's state at ECB.
“she looked at Mr. Depp and us and she shouted out loud, This is the last time you do this to me.”
— Sean Bett
Bett's verbatim recollection of Heard's statement during the May 21, 2016 penthouse confrontation — the central incident in Heard's abuse account.
“She was standing next to Ms. Heard in penthouse number 3.”
— Sean Bett
Pins Pennington's location to penthouse 3 with Heard, resolving layout confusion from cross.
“He probably had it in the car with him when we were driving down, and he could have finished it prior to us walking to penthouse 3.”
— Sean Bett
Acknowledges Depp had wine on May 21 while stopping short of any intoxication observation.
“are you aware of any documentation that either you or Officer Hadden collected relating, in any manner, to your visit to the penthouse on May 21, 2016?”
— Elaine Bredehoft
Frames the documentation-gap question that Saenz's 'No' answer closes out, underscoring the absence of any contemporaneous record beyond CAD entries.
“Correct. I never saw anything.”
— Alejandra Romero
Unqualified denial of any observed injury during the penthouse visit.
“I arrived early, 10:45, went upstairs to the penthouse. I was informed by Amber that she got in a fight with Johnny last night. She threw his personal property over the balcony into the streets, 9th and Broadway.”
— Starling Jenkins III
Heard's own disclosure to Jenkins on the morning of April 22, 2016, providing a firsthand account of the altercation's aftermath from a neutral employee.
“When Ms. Lloyd and I entered his residence, Ms. Heard and Mr. Depp were having a verbal argument.”
— J. Benjamin Rottenborn
Rottenborn reads aloud from McGivern's UK witness statement, which directly contradicts his direct testimony that he met Heard in the lobby before entering the penthouse.
“Elon Musk was a gentleman that Amber dated intermittently following the restraining order.”
— Josh Drew
Drew places Musk at Heard's penthouse weeks after the restraining order while she remained legally married to Depp, relevant to character and relationship timeline.
“He comes up behind me, strikes me in the back, kind of just somewhere over here, he strikes me in the back, I hear Amber shout, "Don't hit my fucking sister."”
— Whitney Henriquez
The central moment of the staircase incident: Whitney's direct eyewitness account of Depp assaulting her and then Heard.
“There was an NDA on my kitchen table.”
— Whitney Henriquez
Establishes that Depp sought to contractually silence Whitney immediately after the March 2015 staircase incident.
“I honestly don't - I don't know what he was aiming for. My back was to him.”
— Whitney Henriquez
Introduces uncertainty about whether Depp's contact during the staircase incident was intentional, limiting the weight of Whitney's direct-examination testimony.
“So, I remember physically having her phone, and when I dropped them back at the penthouse, she said, keep my phone so if he contacts me, I won't know. I won't cave. And I'll file for divorce tomorrow.”
— Melanie Inglessis
Establishes that Inglessis actively intervened to ensure Heard filed for divorce, demonstrating the degree to which Inglessis had accepted Heard's account of the marriage and acted on it.
“The part with the quote marks, I believe I said that, yes.”
— Adam Waldman
Waldman confirms he made the 'ambush, a hoax' statement to the Daily Mail characterizing the May 2016 penthouse incident as staged by Heard.
“all of a sudden, I heard Kate -- I thought of Kate Moss on the stairs. That gave a negative connotation, and even to me, I'm like, Oh, does that mean that something happened with Kate Moss on the stairs?”
— Penney Azcarate
Judge explains on the record why Heard's staircase testimony created an inference entitling Depp to call Kate Moss as a rebuttal witness.
“The rebuttal part is the state of Mr. Depp's hand in March 2015 when he supposed -- when Ms. Heard -- Ms. Heard and Ms. Henriquez both testified that Mr. Depp was able to attack them and try to push them down the stairs at the stairs incident in March 2015.”
— Jessica Meyers
Establishes the specific rebuttal purpose: the type of cast Depp wore directly contradicts the physical capability attributed to him in the staircase incident testimony.
“No, he never pushed me, kicked me, or threw me-down any stairs.”
— Kate Moss
Broadest and most direct denial — covers the full relationship and all physical actions, directly rebutting the prior staircase-push claim.
“There was never a moment where I pushed Kate down any set of stairs. Yet, she's skewed this three times before.”
— Johnny Depp
Explicit denial that Depp pushed Kate Moss, directly contradicting the premise Heard used to justify the staircase punch.
“Amber asked her to leave, get out.”
— Johnny Depp
Depp attributes Whitney's departure from penthouse 4 to Heard's directive, countering any inference Whitney left voluntarily.
